g-r-d-postcardYou are cordially invited to attend the 6th Annual Graduate Research Day of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Florida International University, which will be held on Nov. 4, 2016 in the Engineering Center of FIU.

This year’s event features two invited speakers, Dr. Leslie Tung from Johns Hopkins University and Daniel Catron from University of Miami, and poster presentations by the graduate students of our department. Dr. Tung is a professor and the interim director of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Johns Hopkins University. He will give a keynote speech on “Engineered Heart Slices as Models of Human Myocardial Function”. Mr. Catron is a Sr. Licensing Associate in the Office of Technology Transfer of University of Miami. He will give a talk on “Invention to Application – Moving Ideas Out of the Lab and Into Your Startup”. Detailed information about this event can be found in the attached postcard and flyer.
