Many biomedical engineers, particularly those whom work in research labs, need a graduate degree. The Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering provides students and practicing engineers with the theoretical and practical experience needed to succeed.
Our program has three objectives:
1) to provide highly trained professionals to serve in academic institutions, government agencies, research labs and manufacturing and service industries
2) to provide minority students a great opportunity for advanced graduate studies
3) to supply additional minority graduates to the Biomedical Engineering field, where they are highly underrepresented
We offer two tracks:
The Professional Track is for engineers currently practicing in the biomedical industry and students interested in pursuing a management career in biomedical industry.
The Research Track prepares graduates for further study or a career in biomedical research.
