2015- Biomedical engineering undergraduate student, Juan Pham received a summer internship with the STARS programs at the University of California, San Diego. Pham will be working in the cartilage tissue engineering lab where he will be researching diagnostic, preventative, and treatment methods for cartilaginous clinical issues.
The summer training academy for research in the sciences (STARS) is an intensive eight week program that allows participants to work closely with the UC San Diego faculty and graduate students. The program is aimed at preparing students for their graduate studies.
