Biomedical Engineering professor Dr. Anuradha Godavarty has been honored with the Faculty Senate Award for Excellence in Advising and Mentoring at the 2025 FIU Faculty Convocation Awards Ceremony. This recognition highlights her outstanding commitment to teaching, research, mentorship, and service—contributions that continue to make a meaningful impact on both students and the broader university community.
Dr. Godavarty currently leads a team of researchers at the Optical Imaging Laboratory (oil.fiu.edu), where they are developing near infrared-based optical imaging technologies for various clinical applications. Their work focuses on areas such as wound monitoring—particularly for diabetic foot ulcers—and peripheral vascular imaging related to cardiovascular diseases.
