Dr. Michael Christie, senior lecturer for biomedical engineering, was nominated and chosen as one of South Florida’s Top Black Educators of 2018 by Legacy Magazine. Dr. Christie was featured in Legacy’s Education Issue on July 16, 2018.

Dr. Christie has served on BME’s Undergraduate Program Committee, he is a co-faculty advisor for the National Society of Black Engineers, he is a board member for the McNair Undergraduate Research Program, and he is the coordinator for the Senior Design Projects course, among others. His dedication towards the department, as well as the college and university, led him to be chosen as a top educator.
