President and CEO
Qualtech Solution, Inc
For almost 30 years, I have been working in the rewarding field of Biomedical devices and systems. I have been fortunate to gain a broad and in depth experience in almost all aspect of the biomedical field such as design, manufacturing, test, regulatory, quality and supply chain. About eight years ago, I gave a speech to the BME students at FIU which was very successful. Subsequently, I was asked to teach the Data Evaluation course for the department. It was a tremendous experience for me and the students. That was the reason for my extreme enthusiasm when I was offered to teach the “Design of Biomedical Devices and Systems” as well as “Senior Design Project Organization” courses almost seven years ago. These two courses heavily rely on my technical expertise and project management skills as well as challenging me to continuously improve my teaching skills along with direct student and industry interface. The fact that I expose the students to the real life situations that are current and up to date provides a unique opportunity for the them to gain valuable and relevant field experience. I also get great gratification from the feedback I receive from the faculty and students regarding the effectiveness of my teaching and how that has helped students in their young carriers. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to share my experiences with the students and to help shape them into the next generation engineers.
My interest is in the area of non-invasive or minimally invasive diagnostics or therapeutic devices or systems for treatment of diseases in the Vascular, Neuro or Skeletal systems.
