Research Professor/Postdoctoral Fellow position in Cardiovascular Research

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Florida International University is currently seeking a full-time, non-tenure, Research Professor or Postdoctoral Fellow in Vascular Biology/Physiology. He/she will participate in an NIH-funded project on neurovascular coupling and the regulation of cerebral blood flow in health and in brain disorders. Prior experience in vascular biology, myography, electrophysiology or animal experimentation is preferred.

Postdoctoral Fellow position in Computational Modeling

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Florida International University is currently seeking a full-time, non-tenure, Research Professor or Postdoctoral Fellow within the Vascular Physiology and Biotransport Laboratory. Research in the laboratory focuses on biological systems modeling with emphasis on blood flow regulation. He/She will work on an NIH-funded project on neurovascular coupling and the regulation of cerebral blood flow in health and in brain disorders. For details regarding the positions, please contact Dr. Nick Tsoukias at tsoukias@fiu.edu.  Qualifications include a Ph.D. in chemical/biomedical engineering or a related field and training in mathematical modeling, high performance computing or transport phenomena. Prior experience in physiological systems modeling including in cell signaling and calcium/membrane potential dynamics, biomechanics or fluid dynamics is preferred but not required.
