Lab Manager II – Biomedical Engineering

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Florida International University is currently seeking a full-time, regular, Lab Manager II. He/she will manage the Core facility within the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Florida International University. The cores will include the cell culture core and imaging core facilities. He/she will also assist in the inventory and management of animal facilities associated with the Department. These cores are available to all faculty and students within the Department and organizes the scheduling of usage of the facility. Lastly, he/she will perform necessary training of new researchers in the facility and ensures proper usage of facility. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Cell and Molecular Biology, or a related field. Prior experience in working in a research lab and knowledge in conducting routine cell culture techniques is preferred.
