About the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation Seminar Series
Through the generous support of the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation, the Department of Biomedical Engineering facilitates a seminar series every Friday of the academic year, where eminent researchers and scientists from universities, industries, clinics, and other venues are invited to visit the department and the university. During the visit, we request the invitees to give a talk as part of the Seminar Series, visit our department and FIU, and learn about our program.
The lectures are a great place for the community, students, and faculty and staff to meet and network with leading experts in the industry. The guest keynote speaker typically is scheduled to deliver a technical seminar to the BME undergraduate and graduate students apart from the BME faculty.
With the current restrictions on travel, we have moved the seminar series to a virtual platform but maintaining the same format. We will arrange for one to one meetings with faculty you like to meet and also an informal meeting with graduate students – all via a virtual platform.
Your lecture (whether in person or Zoom) will be recorded and broadcast through our social media channels. By completing this form, you understand that the recordings/photographs will be used in our website and social media and agree that all such recordings/photographs, in whatever medium, shall remain the property of FIU.
